Lindy's Stamp Gang's Birthday Blog Hop

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. We are celebrating Lindy's birthday over at Lindy's Stamp Gang, from April 27th-May 4th, with a birthday themed blog hop! The designers have gathered up to share some inspiration using Lindy's (and our) beloved products.

I've created a simple birthday card with a pop of various colors. I decided to use several of the fabulous Flat Fabios, because I've really been into using them lately. You can see my latest video tutorial, where I used a great number of them to alter a canvas HERE. This time I used Flat Fabios from the Caribbean Cruise Set ( I used Mango Mania, Caribbean Blue, Hibiscus Rose,  and Luscious Lime), over some handmade resist paper I made myself using Lindy's Stamp Gang's Magic Moon Pearls Embossing Powder, and different Hero Arts Stamps. What's that behind the cake? Well, that texture is vellum I embossed using a retired Stampin' Up Stamp, and the Magic Moon Pearls Embossing Powder again.
I also dry embossed part of the background of the card with a Stampin' Up embossing folder, added some ribbon, pearls and a handmade Happy Birthday Banner.
Here are some close-ups of the embossing, and then a picture of the completed card:

I hope you enjoyed my project and continue on to the next blog in line: Bona. Just in case you just found out about the blog hop here, take a look at the line up below. You are going to want to stop by all the participant's blogs and leave them a comment because there will be hidden prizes in them!

Graduation Ellie- Guest Design Spot

Hi everyone! TGIF!!!
Today I'm very excited to share my Guest Design Post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I used Graduation Ellie for my card, and I loved using her, as well as the Glitz "Yours Truly" Design Paper.
Ellie is super adorable, and so easy to paper piece, which is what I did with her outfit. I colored her skin, hair, and accesories with my beloved Copic Markers. I added some cheese cloth for some texture in the back of the image, and added some paper flowers and some bling from my stash. Below you can see a picture of the inside of the card.
I enjoyed working with Ellie, and I hope you liked my project. Thanks so much to The Paper Nest Dolls for inviting me to Guest Design. I had a blast! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hugs and Kisses

Hello friends!
I wanted to share with you today a card I created using Scrap Happy Ohio dies and stamps. Very pleased with the color palette on this one, and can I tell you I'm in love with this little girl's dress.
I colored her hair and skin with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress and accessories. Used my Gold Atyou Spica pen to color in her shoes as well as the border of her dress and the bow holding the hearts together. I used Scrap Happy Ohio's flower die to make the tan flowers on the card. The card stock cut nicely and I bent each petal with a paint brush. I used one of the sentiment stamps from the Valentine's Sentiment set by Scrap Happy Ohio, which is packed with great sentiments.
For a closer look at this card and how it shimmers you can watch my video HERE. If you are interested  in purchasing any of the stamps or dies you can click HERE.
See you back here soon!

Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Tutorial 3

Hello everyone!
Today I have another tutorial for you using Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts products. This time, I used thin mixed media paper for my background, which with the water warped a little bit, and I think that adds to the watercolor look. I love this cute owl by Kaiser Kraft. Check the video below the picture for a complete step by step tutorial on how I colored this image. I hope you like it :)

Smile

Hello everyone!
Today's card is full of little details that I think make this simple card a nice one.
I used Picture Perfect Sophie, and the Echo Park Note to Self Collection. I colored her with my beloved Copic Markers, and used a wood veneer camera from one of the Studio Calico veneer collections (which I altered to match the card). For the background, I used craft card stock, which I embossed using Lindy's Stamp Gang Kaiser Rudolph Red embossing powder, and a Hero Arts camera background stamp.
I cut out some of the design paper to make accents for the card, and stamped the word "Smile" using a Dear Lizzy stamp, from the Neopolitan Collection, and Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.
I'm not sure if you are going to be able to tell from this picture, but I embossed the polaroid frame using iridescent embossing powder from Ranger, just to give it a little shine, and shimmer without having to use stickles and wait for them to dry.
I also added some blue lace from my stash, as well as some dark square tiles at opposite ends of the card for a final touch.
I hope you liked my card for this month, and head on over to Tueday's post on the  Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.'s blog, so you can find out all the details of the April Sketch Challenge. There is a great prize for the winner.
Hope you are having a great week and that today is productive for you. Until next time!

Crafter's Crayons by Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts

Happy Monday friends!
Today I'm sharing another "artsy" tutorial using Faber Castell Desgin Memory Crafts products. I'm not going to go ahead and describe anything that I did, becuse the video explains it all in detail, and you can see the results as I layer the colors.
Please watch the video below and see how the Faber Castell Crafter's Crayons resist all the color I added to this card. I hope you enjoy! If you like video tutorials, make sure you click "like" on the video in the end :)

Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial

Hi there and Happy Easter!
Hope you all had a great time with your families this weekend, as did I. It's really fun to see the celebration and joy of Christ's Resurrection.
Today I wanted to share a very detailed tutorial of a mixed media canvas I completed using mostly Lindy's Stamp Gang's Products. It was a super fun project, where I got my hands quite dirty, but thanks to my loyal scrubby, also sold at Lindy's Stamp Gang, my hands made it out clean and soft after I was done. I used a ton of awesome products and you will see them in the video tutorial below, but for your convenience, I'll be linking each of the products I used to the website, so it's easier for you to locate them and purchase them if you are interested.
I've been playing here and there with mixed media, but have not ventured out into sharing much about it, because it's something relatively new to me, and I'm not quite confident in sharing a lot about it yet. However, I had a blast creating this project and I hope you can see that in the video. I'm pretty happy with the end result, and that's not only because there is an owl right smack in the center of my project lol.
Here's the list of the products I used:

FLAT FABIOS:

EMBOSSING POWDERS:

STARBURST STAIN: Dark Chocolate Truffle

GLITZ SPRITZ: Cactus Gold

WORDS OR WHATEVER DIECUT: Owl
Below is the picture of my finished project, and under that, the video tutorial. I hope you enjoy!
Happy Spring everyone!!!!
